Following the coup d’etat that ousted Evo Morales back in November 2019, Jeanine Áñez proclaimed herself as the interim President of Bolivia through an illegal seizure of power that has cemented high levels of unrest throughout the country. Immediately following the coup, the State Department of the United States was ecstatic with regards to the political developments, while countless protests ensued throughout the country.
